Broccoli Festival at Loch Leven’s Larder

It’s festival season! So where better than to take our broccoli crisps on a fine summer's day than the first ever 'Broccoli Festival' at Loch Leven’s Larder? Ok, it might not be Glastonbury, but we think our broccoli rocks and it seems the Broccoli Festival goers agreed!

The stage was set for a beautifully rustic food festival, deep in the Scottish countryside. We could not have asked for better weather and the location was simply incredible; nestled amongst some of the very fields in which our broccoli is grown. It was almost like our broccoli crisps were coming home to visit. It felt so natural to chat to other broccoli lovers about Growers Garden while surrounded by our roots. Best of all, with samples of all four flavours on offer (naked, chilli, sour cream & chive, and cheese), the feedback from everyone who tasted them was fantastic.

It wasn’t just our snacks that had broccoli lovers heads in a ‘spin’ either. Growers Garden was the proud sponsor of the festival’s Ultimate Frisbee Tournament, supplying limited edition money-can’t-buy (aka. free giveaway) Growers Garden Frisbees! We believe that even healthy snacks should be enjoyed as part of a balanced lifestyle. Promoting this on the day with fun exercise like ultimate frisbee was great.

All day long there was a broccoli buzz in the air, and we were delighted to be part of it. Although it was the first festival of its kind at Loch Leven’s Larder everything went perfectly, and we're sure there will be an even bigger Broccoli Festival next year. Hopefully Growers Garden will be right in the thick of the fun, and who knows, perhaps with some delicious new flavours added to our existing broccoli crisps range.
