When news spread across the farms that our broccoli crisps had been invited to the Summer Fancy Food Show 2018 in New York, it wasn’t just the bees that were buzzing.
Hosted by the Speciality Food Association (SFA), the Summer Fancy Food Show is the largest North American marketplace for speciality food and beverages. The three-day event celebrates food innovation with over 200,000 products on show, by 2,400 exhibitors from 54 countries, and our innovative broccoli crisps were heading to join them in The Big Apple. What an amazing stage to promote our sustainable healthy snacks and show off all the hard work down on the farms.
It was so much fun to chat with people as they discovered Growers Garden. From our mission to reduce food waste to our natural and vegan-friendly flavours, we were simply blown away by the positive response. By the end of the event the comments from everyone who tried our broccoli crisps left us blushing like beetroot. Us Growers can’t wait to start working with our new-found friends across America and Canada.
Huge thanks must go to Scottish Development International (SDI) who helped make the trip possible, showcasing Growers Garden alongside other fantastic brands including Speyside Smokehouse, Bon Accord Drinks, Stockan’s Oatcakes, Aldomak, and the newly unveiled national Scottish Dairy Brand.
